I used to be a writer; I guess I still am, though I suppose I would consider myself "non-practicing" at the moment. I'm a podcaster; be sure to check out my current projects for links to my active work. For my "day job," I work as an instructional designer at a local corporate entity, where I specialize in enterprise-wise instructor-led learning, in addition to curating the best coffee cup collection in the office at my desk.

I'm also a volunteer OWL (Our Whole Lives) facilitator at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, where I have the opportunity to deliver developmentally appropriate sexuality education and help dismantle stereotypes and assumptions.

My biggest passion, however, is for my family. I've been married to my partner-in-crime Thomas Alley for fifteen years. We live out on the family farm affectionately known as "The Ridge" in the no-man's-land between Halls and Gibbs in Knox County, Tennessee, with three amazing neurospicy kiddos ranging in ages from 27 to 9. We also have one dog, Yami, who spends all of her time licking our toes. (I wish I was kidding.)

I'm obsessed with US Route 11, adore the Gopher Protocol, enjoy reading every historical marker I come across, and love breweries and distilleries. I have inherited my late mother's obsession with constant self-improvement, in addition to her tendency to spin in circles and relive the same epiphanies over and over again. Hence the resurrection of this wesbite.
